Speech disorders refer to difficulties in the expression of speech sounds or problems with voice quality. Language disorders are impaired ability to understand and/or to use words in context, both verbally and nonverbally. When untreated, it can result in further negative consequences, and can lead to limited educational achievement, and problems with social adaptation.

Hearing, vision, and speech/language are screened at critical stages of development through collaboration between our medical (doctors and nurses) and paramedical team (speech therapists and special educators). Given that a child develops particular skills and abilities gradually through their childhood in physiological steps and in a defined order.

In fact, communication and language disorders in children should be identified by screening as early as possible. In parallel, a continuous cooperation takes place between our specialists and the academic team. Individualized recommendations updated on regular basis are assured and communicated to classroom teachers. Parental guidance and working closely with parents that progress is achieved and maintained.
